Overview
The General Surgery department at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Hospitals handles routine surgical procedures and treats conditions such as appendicitis, several types of hernia and lymph node dissection. Experienced general and laparoscopic surgeons perform complex operations on the intestines, stomach, liver, abdomen, neck and chest. Several procedures are offered on a short-stay basis. After a day-care procedure, many patients can go home the same day once they have recovered.
